Well I was supposed to be born on New Years. My parents had a New Years meaning name all picked out and everything. But of course I (even unborn) didn't like that name! So I went into early labor and was born on Christmas day. Of course my parents couldn't name me anything meaning New Years now ;-) So I was called Natalie. At school when my mom would talk to other mothe's and say her daughter's name was Natalie the other women would look over to the little angelic girls sitting with their dresses all so prettily and ask wich one. Then my mom would sigh and point over to the girl who was beating all the boys up.

In 1995 we named our son Jason Bradley Smith. When you marry a guy name'smith, you want the first name to be a little different and original instead of a John or Mike. I started to call him JB at the time when Dallas was on and JR Ewing was the man. But mostly we and his friends , still call him Jason or Jas .

In the late 60's the name Jason was rare so was Jennifer. Before and during the Vietnam war the'singer Donovan was popular to all the flower children, aka: me. His songs are about love and colors. I was having a baby and decided to name a girl after two of his songs. Jennifer Juniper and Celeste. If a boy it would be Jason Donovan. Named after the'singer. I had a girl so the name was Jennifer Celeste. She was my only child. Now as an adult has two sons, the first Jason Donovan (my boy) the little on named after big brother LI'm Donovan. Jason is a name that became famous in the late 60's early 70's. I thought the name was different and unique. Everyone else felt the'same I guess!..

I like my name Jason. I was born in 1994, and no matter what school I went to, there always more than a handful of people with the'same name. So much so, that we were all called by our last names to avoid confusion. I think 1994 was a big Jason year, at least in Montreal, Canada.

My name's Jason and if I am any indication of the quality of the people named Jason then It'should be required that all baby boys are named Jason. I'm a jason. i like it. kids can't really find any nasty names that rhyme with jason to tease with. there are very few, rare alternate spellings, so you don't have to spell it when you introduce yourself. i did acquire a nickname, Chase, because a friend of mine used to call me Jas, rather than Jason, and someone else misheard him and thought he was saying Chase, not Jas. but i like Chase too, so It's cool. It is not too terribly common either, so, overall, i like being a Jason.
