This was my great aunt's name. She was called "Lee" by most people, and my middle name is "Lee" after her. When I found out her real name I thought it would be cool to name my daughter Aletha. That way, in a roundabout way, I was giving my daughter a name with family history and a connection to me. My first name is so unique i've only ever met one other person with it (Dacia), so I'd prefer giving my child an uncommon name as well.
