My Soren is 4.5 now, a blonde haired, blue eyed little boy that you expect to see in Denmark. which makes sense since I am of danish descent. After we named our little Soren, we found out I had a great-great-great grandfather of the'same name. Was cool to learn this.
Soren is nordic. It has roots in the middleage in the form of "Seffren", "Sıffren" etc. It comes from latin "Severinus" which means serious or strict. Spelled with the danish letter "ı", "Sıren" is one the most common names in denmark. "Sıren" is also an eufeI'm for "Satan".
Soren means thunder - and it looks like people are trying to morph it into other names, but that would be like saying Michelle has the root "mushroom" (just because It'starts with the'same letter). Soren is a beautiful name!
