Alyson is my second name. I have never liked it but strange to say I love the name Alice. Not sure what that is about. I am glad it is my second name....I never have to tell anyone. Sorry to those of you with it as a first name. Nothing personal.
My mom named me Alyson because of the way it wrIt's. She thought the loops with "y" looked better. People usually spell my name wrong but I am happy to be different
My name is Alyson and It's hard to find personalized items and people spell it wrong. I get a lot of comments on the unusual spelling. Hey, I'm not the one who picked it. My patents did. I was clearly named way ahead of the trend back in 1974. I really like my name and spelling.
Alyson is my name and I have had a good experience with it:)
I love my name although people sometimes call me Addison. Honestly I thought I was the only Alyson with a y.
Everyone spells my name wrong...I never met anyone with the name Alyson spelled the'same way...=(
It's taken me awhile but I'm finally happy with having "Alyson" as my first name. The good thing is, nothing rhymes with it (no teasing in the'schoolyard) and because it is spelled with a 'y', it is fairly unique compared to othe's the'same age as me. It is frustrating to have it constantly spelled wrong, and some ethnic groups can't pronounce it (they say "a-LIE-zon") but on the whole, these are minor complaints for an otherwise pretty and intelligent-sounding name.
I'm Alyson too! It's an exotic way of spelling a common name. It's always nice to be a little different.
omg! i wrote something in the 'Alison' section not expecting there to be Alyson with a 'y', but there is!!! Yeay! i love my name!
My name is Alyson, and NO ONE EVer'spells it right. Also, it was a drag to try and buy personalized items that only had "Allison" or "Alison" on them. These days, there are Alysons everywhere you turn.
Alyson, while unique, is nice, but I'must say, I prefer the traditional spelling of "Allison" better.
