Bryton holds roots in old English and means a 'bright town' or 'brilliant settlement'. This is based on two elements – 'beorht', meaning bright or famous, and 'tun', signifying town, settlement, or enclosure. This gives rise to an imagery of a vibrant community where talents thrive and where people make a name for themselves.

I named my son Bryton because I thought the name'sounded phenomenal! I did n't spell it in'the traditional way ie:Brighton, because I wanted it to match with my daughter Brittany's name and also because a girlfriend of mine from England said that - that'spelling was the common way to spell it; and that the way I spelled it was quite unusual and extraordinary. Now that my son is much older people love the name every where he goes although they do spell it wrong sometimes.
