My Name is Giselle.... and I Love it People make fun of it Because they pronounce it Giz-ell... but its all good. i go by gizzo, gizzy, giz, and many other NickNameS
My name's Gisselle (yeah, two). I have always loved it and everyone seems to love it aswell. On the nickname part, there are the people that will call me Gigi but there are the unfortunate times somebody decides they want to call me Gissy (or with a J and ZZ instead of SS) or Giss (again sometimes with a J and ZZ) which can be quite annoying but even'those that do that love my name and I like how it just rolls out of the person's tongue when It's being pronounced.
I love the name as well I am planning to name my daughter Kyrianna (kai- rianna) Jazyle (giselle) I love the J & z spelling of the name.
I am naming my daughter Giselle i love this name!!! her middle name will be marie. Giselle Marie Garcia! PERFECT:)
Giselle is beautiful name!! Don't let people make fun of your name. Be proud of the name your mother, or whoever named you, gave you that name!
My name is also Giselle, I like it as it is different, (I was born in the 70s) but I got bullied in school because of it, called gazelle (as in the dear) and gezabelle (Isn't that lovely)!
My name has always been Giselle, and sometimes It's frustrating when people spell it wrong. I'm sure some people think I'must be conceited to have a name like I do, but I rather like it. It's not very common, and yet It's not too exotic that It'sounds forced. I do, however, like the official french nickname for it: Gigi. The correct way to say this name is "Gih-sehll", with a gentle emphasis on the'second part of the name. To be frank, and maybe I'm just biased, I like my spelling better than the one with two s's. It just looks less forced and more natural to me. A final word of advice for people with the name Giselle: just be yourself. It's a great name that i've held for sixteen years running so far, and I'm proud to wear it long and proud.
My father named me Giselle because he thought it was the most beautiful name he had ever heard and people who learn my name also think its beautiful. The "G" souds like the "j" in "Deja vous": Gi-zel. my friends call me Zel or Zellie, and although I'm never called Gigi, I think its a great nick-name! my name is often mispelled or said wrong, and in German it is pronounced GEE ZUH LUH. My french teacher called me "Giselle la Belle"
I love this name! One of my friends is named Giselle. She prononces it "jih-zell" or "gizzy" for short.
I love this name! It's so beautiful and all different forms of pronouncation!
I love the name Gisele! My name is actually Yisel (a "Cuban" variation of the name) and though for many years I hated it, mostly because of the Y, I now love it. It is unique and a great conversation starter, since most people have never heard of it. I pronounce it "Ji-sell" though my mother pronounces it "Yee-sel" in her thick Spanish accent.
We named our daughter Grace after her great aunt, Grace. It is beautiful name. She gets called Gracie a lot, but that is OK. We love our Gracie Lu Lu Bug!
my name is actually spelled Yisel :o) i am Dominican, no middle name. I love my name, it is so unique. I have only met 2 Yisel's in my whole 20 years of life. My nicknames are Gigi, Yiz and Yizzie. some people like to pronounce it Yi-Zell which is where the nickname came from. I prefer english speaking people say it Yi-SSell. everyone i know who is spanish says it Gee-ssell bc thats how its supposed to be pronounced in spanish. I dont mind people pronouncing my name wrong i just correct them. but in all honesty i love my name, i feel like It'suits me. i cant see me with any other name. :o)
My Granddaughter is named Giselle Guadalupe. I think It's a very pretty name. I hope she will have the nickname Gigi. i've always thought that was cute.
One of my daughters name is Giselle (she is 11yrs. old) & I think It's a very pretty name. I named her after "Giselle Toengi" ( an actress from the Philippines). I wish my mom named me Giselle!
I love it! I am naming my 2nd girl Giselle just a little hard to come up with a middle name. She will be half Mexican half Puerto Rican. It's just a gorgeous name!!

my name is Gisel & they pronounce it as "giselle" in english & "ji-sel" in spanish,. i love my name & honestly i havent met anyone with the'same name as me i've met "gisela, giselle, gizzelle" but none spelled like mine :) i thank my mom for naming me Gisel Anais Compean even my last name adds a touch of even more unique ;)
I love it, my name is actually Jennifer Giselle but I'much rather be called Giselle. Its unique, strong yet feminine, and very beautiful. I know his is going to be daughters name! But one thing that has me bothered, I can't think of a middle name that compliments Giselle. Help please
Its my name as well and I am half Mexican, half Irish. My middle name is Rachel, just in case someone wants ideas for a middle name. (I like the combination at least) I had come to love that its so rare and beautiful, but now I am saddened by the fact that'so many people are naming their children'that. I had no idea! Since its a French name and mine is spelled one "s" it has a soft s-sound like "sell." In French the double s ("ss"), makes a z-sound. So for Gisselle its pronounced "Ji-zel." But yeah, just some tidbits on the name.
It's my name! i love it. but so many other people are starting to have it.
Vesna - OMG! even'though I am 9 mothns pregnant with my second baby and a happily married woman, I think I just fell in love with sarah!! What a beautiful girl!!! Amazing photos once again and hair and make up pure perfection!!
My name is Giselle. I'm 24. Growing up I hated it, because people called me gazelle and jezabel, and no one could pronounce it. I just wanted to be a Jessica, Ashley, or Britney like all the other girls in my class. But I grew to love it, and I get a little ego boost when everyone who meets me tells me how beautiful it is. It's amazing how the little things in my life has changed since I don't have to explain to everyone I'meet how to spell or pronounce my name. I think it has an air of beauty and femininity, which I'm proud to carry, and truth be told It's gotten me a fair amount of attention from the male species. Unfortunately I feel like It's uniqueness is being undermined by the influx of baby Gisele/Giselle. Darn you, you Brazilian model and Disney princess!
My name is Giselle but some people call me Jiselle, Gissel, or Gisele and sometimes people call me GIIIselle or JiZelle but its all fun in games
when i have a girl im going to name it Candice Michelle
See here's the comment that I'must say. I see all these different ways on how to spell "Giselle" but so far I haven't seen any like the way my name'spelt, at least on this website. My name is pronounced "gizz-elle" and It's not spelled that way. My name is GESSELLE and it may not look as exotic as "Giselle" may look like but I like the way that it is spelt. Many people don't know how to spell it and it has taken my classmates years and years to learn how to spell my name. I don't have a problem with how It's spelt. It's a vary unique way in spelling the name but the name "Giselle" is meant to be unique so Isn't that the point❤️ The only reason as to why I am commenting on a post about the name "Giselle" and not "Gesselle" is only because It is really hard to find websIt's describing the name Gesselle. That is one of the down sides of my name, not being able to find out what my name, spelt the way that It's spelt, means. Also spellcheck has and will always continuously tell me that I am spelling my name wrong. Anyway, that's all that I felt like saying.
i named my second daughter gisselle , and i love It'so does she gisselle is now 6 years old and everyone who hears her name thinks its wonderful its unique and exsotic .
My daughter's name is Gisele with one "L". (My name is Michele with one "L"). We also pronounce it with a soft "s" not "z" sound. Like "Ji-sell". I think It's a beautiful name.
My daughters name is spelled yisel, we chose that name because it is a very beautiful name and not that used.she has been asking me what it means but I'm not sure exactly what it means if someone knows I would appreciate it
I love this name and if i have a baby girl that will be her name
I have this name and wouldn't change it for anything else. Ive had plenty of people tell me how pretty it is. I pronounce it by saying "Ji-sell" which appears to be one of the less common ways to pronounce the name. To be honest, at least half the time when meeting new people they mis-pronounce my name or spell it incorrectly. Their most common guesses are "Gi-sell" "Gi-zell" or "Ji-zell". Ive gotten used to correcting people and it doesn't bother me. I understand because nearly everyone i've met has never heard of my name. i've met one person in my life with the'same name as myself. We were both "shocked and amazed"! :) She pronounced her name the'same way as me...
