Katrina meaning

My name is Katrina. I have always loved this name. Everyone is always telling me how beautiful it is. Not very many people have this name'so I always felt special growing up.

My mother named me Katrina after the Finnish book by Sally Salminen. I have only been'teased about the Hurricane a couple of times. I don't find it annoying or bothe'some, It's just a sort of lame joke. I know another Katrina on a friend-of-a-friend basis and it kind of bothe's me. All in all, i've met three other Katrinas. So long as I'm the only Katrina to my friends and family I don't mind. The more I think about it, the more I realize I really like my name.

From the time I was in high school I'met a friend named Katrina and from that moment I loved the name and vauled I would name my first girl Katrina and I did.

I love my name , Even after Hurricane Katrina. Even after the hurricane happened the lame jokes don't bother me. I use it to my advantage. ex. For Halloween i went out as i hurricane. I taped cows and Lego houses to myself and carried around a misting fan while playing Rock you like a hurricane

Will be my soon to be born son's name. "Park" was once a maiden name generations back, and then my great-grandfater's middle - name which he used as his first. So a family name. Not too overly common, but doesn't sound trendy or made up!

I love my name and wouldn't change it for the world. Even after the hurricane I still love it. The origin of the name is GREEK and it means "pure" or "Given unto to men" whatever that means. i've met 5 people in my life time with my name 4 of which had the'same spelling.

This name, Keely, is very special to me. I know a girl named Keely and she is the'sweetest human being i've ever met in my life. Even when'the times get tough, she'stays strong and keeps my friend and I happy. Keely is a fantastic name, and everyone who has this name'should be happy!

I love my name, which is Katrina, it was apparently picked by my father off fI'm credits! I liked being unique as I grew up. And it was almost glamourous as for many the only time they'd heard the name was with "Katrina and the waves". Now unfortunately everyone has heard it with connection to the hurricane. Pre-Hurricane Katrina, there was an Eighties song called 'I'm Walkin' On Sunshine', which was sung by Katrina And The Waves (the frontwoman's first name, I beli've, is Katrina).

Woot! Another'sam arrives! i've been called everything under the'sun. Sammitch, Salmon, Samalamadingdong, Man, Man Flap, Manny, Mansanita, Sampsonite, Sammy Lammy, Mom. you understand the point. But never'sammy, i always disliked it. But love the name itself!

I named my daughter, Katrina Helene Marie Bathsheba Lindquist. We are Scandinavian and it fit. When I was mad at her, I would call her name out in Russian. Ekaterina. Her other names are from her grandmothe's and great-greatgrandmother.

I have this name and its ok. I don't hate it but I don't love it either. I didn't meet another Katrina until I was 20. It was nice growing up because someone could say it and I knew they were addressing me. I did get huricane jokes alot. I even had a teacher in high school that everytime he'saw me, he had to sing "I'm walking on sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves.

I was given'the name Katrina in 1976 and it was a pretty rare name back then. So I grew up wishing I had a normal name like Debbie or Jane. But as i've gotten older, i've come to like and appreciate It's uniqueness and don't even mind that I share it with one of the worse hurricane's in history. I have never met anyone else with then name. Some of the nicknames people have given me are "Kat", "Trina", "Kate", "Katie."

My name is Katrina, I was born in 1988 (in the UK), and for many years I did not know a single other person with this name. I have had lots of trouble with people trying to shorten it, and people have attempted to call me Kat, Kate, Katie, Trina... all of which I hate. I was named after the character in the Legend of Sleepy Hollow (animated version)... how embarrassing!

I get teased a lot about my name Katrina. I get calle hurricane Katrina and my friends last name is tracey so she gets called cyclone tracey. everyone calls us the trouble twins! It's so annoying!
