I love my name - and yeah it does bother me A LOT when people spell it wrong - and every time I answer the phone at work and say my name the other person always says "hi Wendy" but the name is pretty and It'seems like It's spelled right with a "e". I love the nick-name Lindz for it too
My name is lindsey. I feel the'same way a lot of people do about their names. There are days when I like it and days when I don't. I get a little frustrated when people spell it wrong. The worst i've seen It'spelled was Lynsi. That's just weird.

My name is Linsey. If you think YOUR name was spelled wrong a lot try not having a "D" in it. My mom didn't see the'spelling, she only heard the name and didn't think it would have a D. No one EVer'spells it right. I just got into the habit of saying my name then spelling it right afterwards or saying I'm Linsey with no D. I do like it though because It's unique. I can't imagine being named Jennifer, Ashley, Nicole or something common like that. I wouldn't like if someone said my name and 20 people turned around.
I like my name well enough, but I wish it weren't so common. People spell it wrong a lot, and sometimes people think my name is Lizzy. Also, it used to be a boys' name. I'd like a name with a more feminine history, and one with a more meaningful meaning than "of the linden'tree island." Okay, now It'sounds really negative, but those aren't really big deals. Other than all that I really like my name.
Lindsey is an excellent name, although I think my name was solely chosen because my sister's name, Kelsey, was had a similar ending.
We named our Daughter Lindy in 2016 because we wanted something rare and fairly unique. It is a derivative of Linda. The male version came from Charles Lindburgh who was nicked named Lucky Lindy. There is the famous Lindy Hop (1940s dance). She'seems to like it and her friends do, even'though she gets called the usual Lindsay, Linda, etc. by mistake until people get to know her. Her pet name to us is often "Lindy-Lou".

My name is Lindsey and I don't know why, but it frustrates me that'someone would assume it is spelled "LindsAy"..my name is not pronounced Lin-say...it is spelled just the way It'sounds...Lin-z.
