My name is Nannette and only twice in my life have I'met someone with my name. I was born in 1981 and was named after Nannette Fabre. I hope I spelled it right. My nationality is spanish from spain, but i was born and raised in the united states and so has all my family as far as I can remember. And I too do have people tell me my name is spelled wrong also. But I have never'seem to have found my name listed in a baby book. I guess I kind of like my name. Just don't like everyone calling me annette or Lynette. Well I guess that's all for now.
My name is Nannette and I was born in 1967. I am often called other names like Annette, Lynette and sometimes Vanessa, which I do not understand. It is always mispelled. When someone does say my name correctly, they spell it with just one N in the middle (Nanette) and this is wrong. I have met other Nannettes thorugh the years. Two had the nickname Nan. I hate when people call me Nan. My family calls me Nette, which I like. If someone does hear my name for the first time, then it is usually followed with "No No Nannette." This is very common. The name is unusual and so am I, so I guess it works!
My name is Nannette too. How funny that we all have the'same name. I'm from the Netherlands, and I have never meet a person that's called Nannette. People always say nannetTE in stead of Nannet. And they spell it wrong, like Nanet or Nanette. But now I always say Nannette with dubbel N.
My name is Nannette and I was born in 1972. Growing up in the North I never met anyone with the'same name. After moving to Texas I found maybe 1 or 2 girls with the'same time as myself. Growing up I wasn't sure if I liked my name or not but after finding out that my dad wanted to name me OLIVE, Nannette sounded pretty good! Lol
My Name is Nannette , I was born in 1983. My mother got the name from a book she read in high school called No, No Nannette. I aslo heard this was a play in the 40's. I love my name. The nick name I hate is Nat and like all the other Nannette, I have to repeat my name'several time before any one gets it.My family nick name is Nanny or Nanitika. I have met a few Nannette, but only one with the'same spelling.
People get it wrong, Lynette, Annette - have also ever met one - but heard of a couple of othe's. I call myself Nan for business - It's easier - yes, it usually get's spelt with one 'n' when written in full
My name is Nannette and I was born in 1979. I have never met another person with my name. I didn't mind my name growing up and liked the fact that it was so different than everyone else's. As of late I have started to dislike my name because it is so old fashion and I'm tired of people not being able to pronounce it or spell it. I work in a field where I have to meet new people every day and they all have difficulty with my name. Having a business card helps but it gets old. I hate nick names it was drilled in me as a child that my name is Nannette and that is what people should call me. Of course there are people who tell me I pronounce my name wrong that It'should be Na net not Nan net.
My name is also Nannette. I was born in 1975 into an Iriish Catholic family with siblings named Mary Patrick Mark and Maureen. My mother used to say " I gave you this beautiful French name and you looked like an Irish wash women. When people say to me "no no Nannette " I say "why not❤️" My friends and family call me Nettie never Nan. I have come to love my name for its uniqueness . I often'think that othe's don't agree because it has need become very popular.
I am Nanette born in 1983 also. As a child, I spelled my name with two n's in the middle because i thought my parents spelled it wrong. Like othe's, I hated my name growing up because it was so weird. Now I LOVE it because nobody else has it. My parents thought they'd made up an entirely unique name when'they combined Annette (Funicello, my mom's childhood favorite from the Mickey Mouse Club) and Nancy (my Dad's favorite sister). I have known of two other Nanette's who lived in my area, but never met either of them.
My Name is NANNETTE OMGSH......I DID'NT KON DAT SOOOOOOOOOOOO MANY PEOPLE WERE NAMED DIS. I LOVE MY NAME ND ITS SO GREAT NO ONE IN MY SKOOL HAS MY NAME ..... WHICH IS AMAZING..... I'm 15 AND LOVIN DIS ... PLUS IM PUERTO RICIAN .....

Name is Nannette, mother's name is Annet. I'm Half Armenian/half American, live in the "oc" never really liked my name until I started to read all of everyones comments...
My name is also Nannette and just like the comment (Sept 16th 2019)above im called all of those names too. i got tired of correcting them so i let it be. I live in louisiana. My mother told me it was a Saints name❤️ Don't Know. I was born in 1972
Well my name is Callista with double L. People normally pronounce is as Kuh-lis-tah, but my mother decided that'she wanted it to be pronounced as Kay-Lis-Sa with a silent T. People also spell it wrong because of the way you say it. I like my name, also have a nickname "Callie" I barely get called Callista because i tell them my name is Callie.
Mine is Nannette also. I love love my name. Havent met anyone with the'same spelling. Was born in 81 and my dad named me. Love him for it.
My name is Nanette with only one n just like the other girls people always say it wrong and call me Lanette or Janett and sometimes Anette i didnt know many people had this name well i was born in California in the O.C i reallly love my name'since no person i have met has my name. I hate when people say my name wrong and also when'they spell it wrong. My family and friends usually call me Nany or Nena i like the nick name nany but when u say my full name its better. Its cool knowing other people have the'same name as me
My parents named me Nanette in 1991 because they thought it was pretty. I would rather have a more sturdy, normal name for the work environment. If I was an artist, Nanette might be better. My nickname is Netts, which I like. Mispelling of my name doesn't really bother me. Nanette just Isn't too credible of a name in the corporate environment.
My name is Nannette too I was born in 1983 - I used to really dislike my name because it was not the'same. Now I enjoy it being different, yes as the other Nannettes have said it is always misspelled but my mother instilled in me that I was never to be called anything but Nannette and it worked! I am only know as Nannette to everyone - no nicknames :)
My sister got to name me and she choose the name Nannette fron the beautiful frilly organdy Nannette Frocks, dresses worn by child actress Shirly Temple. In the first grade I was called Nannie-Goat (little boys can be so cruel) but by the time I was in the fifth grade I was called Nannette the Dreamboat i've loved my name every since. LOL
When I was a child I wanted to be something like Elizabeth or an old-fashioned name like that but then I realised that Alison is fairly old-fashioned itself. I know only one other Alison but she is in her forties. It's definitely unusual in my age-group (twenties) where I live anyway. No one calls me by my full name, they call me Ali, though they each spell that in different ways from Ally and Ali to Allie and once even Alle. To my family I spell it Ali, but the rest of the time I play around with it (usually Allie) and I like that everyone spells it their own way because in a little way, it represents their image of me. My family and close friends refer to me as Al, Al Pal or Pally
My mother named me Nannette in 1973. As an African-American, I never met anyone with my same name until I went to college in Louisiana in 1993! I am grateful that I have a unique name, that is however, often mispronounced and spelled incorrectly. Like the other comments that I read, I am often called Lynette, Annette, Nettie (dislike greatly) and Nan (which I do like!). Living in Louisiana I find that no one has heard of anyone else with my name, so they don't make much of an effort to pronounce it correctly. My childhood name was Nanie, which I spelled the way that I wanted it to be spelled because I dislike Nanny...reminds me of the goat. I am going to call my mother tomorrow and thank her for choosing a unique and special name...it reminds me that I am unique and special, especially on days that I don't exactly feel that way on the inside. To all of the other beautiful women named Nannette in the world, remember that you are special and that you are full of "favor and grace". God's Blessings.
My name is Nannette and growing up I didn't like it too much because no one could pronounce or spell it, but as an adult i've come to love an appreciate the uniqueness of my name. I was named after the clothing line Nannette of New York. In addition to the high end formal wear, they also made infant dresses that I always wore. My mother'saved a tag from one of the dresses that I still have to this day. i've never liked the nicknames, so i've always corrected anyone that tried to call me Nan, Nanny, Nette, etc. I'm Nannette and proud of it.
My name is nannette and im cuban im the only one in my entire school named Nannette and i sure am proud!!
My name is Nannette,im from Puerto Rico and i was born on 1993, i got my name just to match my sisters and mothe's name; Annette and Jannette, so ...they named me Nannette !!! ajajaj I love my name, its something that not much people have, so i love my name... people call me Nanna, Nanny or Nanne,. Its super to know so many of us exist in this Earth....
My name is Nannette and I am African American born in 1978 in the midwest. I'moved alot with my father's job and as an adult settled in the'southe'st. Growing up I never met another Nannette....black white or latina. Since moving south I run into so many people with my name which is pretty neat. I have always loved my name because it is unique and I never liked nicknames but allow my family to call me Nette or Aunt Nette....never Nan! Someone in an earlier post stated that Nannette was not a good name for a corporate setting....I strongly disagree!
My name is Nannette i live in holland im half american and half dutch born in june 2004. I realy love my own name because you dont hear it often just only babycloths. Hi I'm a Nannette also. My father named me. He found the name while stationed in France. People are always Pronouncing it wrong or even using the wrong name. i've been Mannette, Avette, Lavette. I think peolpe just don't listen. I love that It's different and a perfect match for my French first name Y'von.
My name is also Nannette. I am born in 2003 in the Netherlands. I like my name, because you don't hear it that often. I hate it when people pronounce the -te at the end. It's Nannet, not NannetTEEE. People write it wrong all the time, with one N in stead of 2. I have never met anyone with the'same name. I like that, because It's annoying when you know 10 persons with the'same name and our name is a bit unique.
My Mother is Nannette of 9/41. Studying our families English heritage, although 5th generation American, taught me that Mom's name, is actually of English origins, not French. This is because many English soldiers ran into the name while stationed in France during WWII. The reason for this misunderstanding is that many English women migrated to France during the war also, presumably, to follow the barrage of young, single, eligible English soldiers to France (remember: during wartime, young men were scarce, so maybe these gals were looking for husbands, boyfriends ❤️)... History shows that many of these young women were entrepreneurs who brought over English cigarettes, tobacco, & liquor to sell to their co-patriots. We also learned that a few of these gals were experienced performers such as "show girls". Some were more worldly & worked as "prostitutes" in brothe's, catering to soldiers mostly. These English gals brought the name Nannette over to France from England while following the'service boys. The'service men were quite a draw on the poorer women as many of the men were young & unmarried which meant that their steady military paychecks could be spent chasing women & liquor! This is why so many people think that Nannette is a French name-as many men & women heard the name in France, & because it is so lovely, unique, & quite special really, many of them went on to name their children Nannette there in France, & abroad. During this same time, during WWII, is when'the name was brought over to the good old USA by American soldiers also involved in WWII. This is how it has eventually spread around the world back in the old days. Thank you, Erin Biscoe Sanchez.
I'm Nannette. I was named after a family friend. I'm 18 now and I like it because when I graduate in June, I'll be the only one named this. There are multiple people in my class with the'same name. Thanks Mom and Dad I love being special.
I love my name. Nannette, born in 1977. I was the only one growing up with this name. It's such a beautiful name. Who cares if people pronounce it wrong. You correct them and move on.
My name is nannette and when i tell people my name they always say len'tte or Nanette instead of the correct pronounciation. I got the name from my grandama and my aunt(her daughter). I feel older with this name'some times because people my age really dobn't have it. Most people call me nettie ,nett, netta. they use to call me nanny or nanna, but already felt old with the name'so ihad to put a end to it
My name is also Nannette and like another Nannette on this page, my mum's name is Nancy and she wanted to include her name in some way in mine. I live in London England and whenever I'm out and people ask my name I have to repeat it about 10 times before they get it! People always spell it wrong and many of the older generation refer to 'no, no Nannette' When I was younger I didn't really like my name but the originality of it is cool, i think its a bIt'strange though!

My name is Nannette and I was born in 1981. I, too, was named after Nannette Fabre. Over the years, I have been called just about anything related to "Nanna/Nanny" (which makes my blood boil) and "Nette". I have also been'told by many that my name is beautiful. Growing up, I always told my parents how I hated my name because everyone pronounced it incorrectly or made "shortcuts" out of it. Grown it doesn't bother me as much. I do have to tell you, that when I named my youngest daughter, Piper. My parents had a significant issue with the name. My only response was, "Who's idea was it to name me, Nannette. A name that very few people know how to say or spell right❤️" Haven't had a comment since. So glad to know there are so many of us.

Nannette is my baby's name. When I tell people her name is Nannette they ask me where its origin is and what is the meaning. I am proud to tell them that my baby's name is of Hebrew origin meaning 'Favored Grace'. Often'times they pronounce it wrong and I have to take them over and over with the correct pronunciation and spelling. I have not met anyone so far with the'same name but that is fine by me as I do not intend my children'to have common names.
My name is also Nannette, i love it, people ask whats your name i tell them and they say its a beautiful name. My name is Nanette. I do not spell it with 2 N's in the middle. People ALWAYS say and spell my name wrong. I have talked with two different women with the'same name and they can't beli've it when I answer with"hi this is Nanette".
HI'my name is Nannette I was born in 2004 in Puerto Rico! And i was named by my aunt I love my name but i hate when people spell it wrongs either they put one n or no e at the end. But still its a pretty nice name and i love it.
My mother is Nannette and she was born in West Africa. I always wonder why as the only girl she did not name me after her. My first girl will be called Nannette as I just love the name. She'said she was born at night and therefore was named Nannette. Two Ns and two Ts.
I was named after my grannie. She was born around 1890 in Pennsylvania. I never liked the nick names unless it was coming from personal friends. Nettie, netter, nanni, nanlee are okay, never nan. I get compliments on my name often. I have only met one other with the double n and double t! So hello to all my sisters who have had similar name related experiences.
My name is Nannette. I am an American however, I was born in Bremerhaven Germany, but I was raised in Alabama. My mother named me after a children's clothing line. I had a couple of outfits along with the hangers with the name printed on them. My mother's name is Nancy and she wanted a form of her name for me and Nannette was unique. People often mis-pronounce, mis-spell, or just call me Annette. It used to bother me when I was younger but now I just correct them politely. I try to teach them to stress both "n's" in the middle( Nan' nette). I haven't met but a couple of other ladies who spell it exactly as I do most only use one "n". I love having this uniqe name it usually causes and inter'sting conversation and I get lots of compliments."
I tell people my name and they always Say Annette. I have started to say"Nannette with a N" for some reason they still write it down with no N. I hate it when people say" No No Nanette. Or call m Nannette Fabray(spelling)
Hey!I'm called 'Nannette' except i spell it Ninett...People do call me lynette alot though(annoying).lol,I love my name!
I am Nannette and was born in 1977. Most of these comments are so similar to what I have experienced in my life and also dislike nick-names. I too was named after the clothes line of New York - the infant wear. I hated my name because nobody could spell it correctly and they STILL don't! I'm used to it by now :)
i don't recamend that name because it has too many N's.
