Allene meaning

My daughter's name is Allene, named after my grandmother. It is pronounced in the family as Al-leen. We live in the'south.

I guess I'm the only girl born with this first name'since 1999 however, I didn't appreciate it growing up but the Celtic meaning of the name is "beautiful". I was named after my grandmother. I also pronounce it Al-EEN I go by Allie though. It makes it easier for othe's.

I'm learning how to pronounce it for a book. I started as "AL-LEEN" Then "AL-LEE-NEE", "AH-LEAN". I guess most people don't know how to really pronounce it. Who to beli've❤️

I like girly names but I don't know what to think of this one

Allene is my middle name, as it was my mother's (and the name by which she commonly was called). Being from Tennessee, it was usually pronounced 'al-EEN', with the 'al' as in Albert. I prefer to pronounce it 'ah-LEEN'. I love my name; it means 'precious,' and my first name means 'precious gift from God.' So I guess I'm pretty darned precious! :-)

My name is Allane (pronounced A-LANE) but everyone just calls me Elaine. I dont mind that but hate it if I get called Allana. Allene is the closest I have ever found to my name and I can never find it in any books or any name'sIt's. i've never met anyone with the'same name but have met one girl whos name was Alaine and another who has the name Allena. I live in Aberdeen in Scotland, UK and my name derives from my maternal grandfather who was called Allan. His birthday is the day after mine. Although I was often down on registers as Allan, I love my name! Its unique but I'd love to find someone else with the'same one!!
