My name is Audra. i've always loved my name....until recently. People have always mispronounced my name but I was usually ok with it. However, moving to south Florida It's mispronounced and misspelled several times a day. I'm so sick of putting in an order for food and having to answer to Aurora or Aorta. Yea It's bad. People down here are in general, highly uneducated.
My name is Audra. I was born in 68 so these records I beli've could be accurate. It is a beautiful name but I have yet to meet another person named Audra. :)
My eldest daughter is an Audra. We loved the name and get compliments on it all the time. We do run into the "Audrey" thing a lot, and that'surprises me because Audra doesn't look like Audrey, but whatever.
My first name is Audra and I also love my name meaning noble stren'th. I can't wait to meet more people named Audra!
Another variation is Audrea (Au dree a). I named my daughter this because I think its classy. The problem which occurs most often is the mix up in her medical and school records. I'must admit this is my fault since I named her'sister Andrea and I never imagined the confusion this would cause.
I always liked my name, I used to get into trouble in school because the teache's couldn't pronounce it properly I got called anything from Audrey, Andrea, Andre! Aubrey!! and I wouldn't answer them . Now I love my name , It's unusual and pretty, the only people I know who are blessed to share my name are around the'same age and there is only a few that I have heard of. It's not popular in the UK sadly, I'm worried it will die out over here, that would be such a shame .
I get Audrey from time to time. I am really glad my mom chose this name. As I child I wanted a trendy or more girly name but as an adult I love my name. i've only met a handful of other Audras.

My name is, Audra. I was born in 1986. I'm surprised that no one here has mentioned this, especially when It'seems that many of us were born in the late 60s to mid 70s, but the name ❤️Audra❤️ was made pretty popular because of a stunning, young Linda Evans and her role on the western TV show, ❤️Big Valley❤️. She played Barbara Stanwyck❤️s daughter, Audra. My mom told me that's where she first heard my name. Also, and this is kinda fun, ❤️Audra❤️ means ❤️Storm❤️ in Lithuanian. Suits me perfectly.
