My great Uncle's name was Billie, Spelled with an ie n't a y. Named my son's first name after him as we were close and used the'same spelling to honor him. In researching the name this spelling was actually used for males long before it was ever used for females(Old English) as is now common. In any case the name is Unisex and can be either and is a great name.
