Davis is my brothe's name. He was born in 1982! I'm so proud of my mom for being ahead of the times =)!! I love the name but he'still complains that when he was younger he was teased for having a last name as his first. I still think it great!!
Davis had been a middle name in our family since at least 1888 (grandfather, then 1936-father, and my name of use since my birth in 1972). Think it was somebody's maiden name way back in'the day. It causes some confusion at first but I always know it is me they want and n't David, Dave, or Davey.... :-)
I love my name Davis. I am 37 years old and a female! I am a little sad it is so popular now with boys. I think it is a strong, unique name for a woman.
