To the person who is naming their character "Cara": I'm 99.9% sure in italian it IS pronounced Car-ah, but most people have changed it to Cara (kind of like some girls named Tara go by Tare-ah instead of tar-ah). It always cracks me up, how many people think their name is unique! As I was growing up, I never heard of another Caitlyn, But everyone always commented on my lovely unusual name. The correct irish spelling is C-A-I-T-L-Y-N. There are two meaning's that I came across while researching the origin of the name Caitlyn. The first meaning is PURE (like so many websites tell you) However the other meaning, (the original meaning) is "BEAUTIFUL FLOWER". I have recently changed my name to Kaitlyn, at first I thought it was a bit to cute and baby'sh for a 20 yr old, I originally settled for Katie, but it needed more depth to it, some identity, so Kaitlyn finally worked. I LOVE it!
