I have this name too had It'since 2001 Kalen spelled exactly like the'same way and pronounced Kaylynn i like it but when i was little it took me awhile to understand why my mom named me that and to come to ter's with the teasing now i take it in stride . I love that my name is as unique as me. When meet people for the first time they have alot of trouble pronouncing it but they get it right eventually. lol

We named our son who was born in 2016 Kayden. I thought I'made it up but obviously n't. I got it from Aiden but that was too common, so I took my first letter of my name which is K aren and put in front of Aiden and it was kayden. I hope there are n't too many kaydens out there.

Kalen (kay lin) is my 28 yr. old son's name. I first saw the name watching the movie "The Long Riders" when I was pregnant with him. It is James Keach's son's name, and James and Stacy Keach played Frank and Jesse James in the movie. James's son Kalen played Jesse, Jr. in it and I saw his name in the credits and thought it perfect with our last name Kerlin. As far as I know there has never been any trouble with people mispronouncing it. Those that pronounce it as rhyming with Allen would have that problem though. i've had the'same "problems" as some of the other posters - family members who cannot spell Kalen or people who do not read completely (ie. i've been called just about any name that can begin with "K".) We picked the name Makenzie because we wanted a name that'started with an "M", and Makayla seemed very popular. We also liked the fact it has many nicknames Mak, Kenzie. Our son's name is Kalen. My wife Veronica came up with the name'so that he would have the'same initials as I do (KAL). But then she wanted to include her'surname as a hypen'ted name and we were later devorced. I am due with a little one that I had decided to name Caillan or Kalen. Finding out that it was a boy just made the'spelling choice for me. The way I figured I would pronounce it was Kale-N.
