thats my name! well, katheirne is, but im not even regestered in school as katherine, but as katie. i dont even respond to katherine :P lol
Hi! I'm just a Katie. There's no Katelyn or Katherine or Kathleen. Just Katie. I like it that way. It's original. There's way too many nicknamed Katie's in the world. I know so many Katelyn's who as they have gotten older are referred to as Katie or Kate. I don't really go by Kate either. The only person who refers to me as that is my boyfriend Shawn and my dad. Otherwise I'm not very fond of other people calling me it. It's almost like a "special" nickname . Katie is a great name! I plan on giving a future daughter the middle name of Katie if at all possible.
I love my name! It'suits me perfectly. It really bugs me when people spell it with a "y" instead of an "ie". My full name is Kathleen, but NO ONE has ever called me anything but Katie. I will go by Katie for the rest of my life. The only drawback is that there are so many of us! You scream "Katie!" in the middle of a shopping mall, and ten girls will turn around :P
great name. My only issue is misspelling since it always seems to be Katy or Catie. I love it.
i know way to many people that has the name Katie.
i like it...It's spelt katie and i wouldn't be me if i wasn't katie
I'm a "just" Katie too. Born in 1990 when Katie wasn't so popular. I always wished it had a more unique name though, but I like it, it fits me, I'm a total Katie. I also go by Kate a lot and KT which are my initials, but lots of people call me KT distinct from Katie which is more of a softer almost Kadie sounding. I'm blond, blue eyed and pug nosed.
My granddaughter is often called Kate or Katie, even'though these are only her nicknames. She is a little girl, but strong, ambitious, joyous, and cute, so both Kate and Katie fits her in my opinion. Now, when she is a little girl, we call her Kate or Katie, but after'some time she can go only by Kate or by her full name, to be more formal and professional. But for me - her granny - she will be always cute Katie.
I was named Katie (Not Katherine or Katelyn) & I love it! Its such a "cute" feminine name, and although I do know some other Katies I was the only one in my graduating class with my name, unlike the 3 Sarahs, 4 Ashleys, and 4 Jessicas. My name is Katie LeAnn and I would suggest anyone name their child Katie or Kate :)
My nine year old daughter is named Katie. My mom flipped when she found out i was naming her that. Katie is a nickname'she'said. But it is not to me. Her middle name is Jo. So when people ask if Katie is short for something I just say no her name is Katie Jo (insert last name here haha). They usually get the hint!
I love my name. Even'though I personally know at least 10 other people with that name, I would never chane it. It usually doesn't get mispelled, but I hate when people always ask what It's short for (Katherine, Kathleen, Kaitlyn)
My sisters name is Katie and I love it. Its means sweet and innocent and that is very fitting of her. Her name is not Katherine or Kaitlin, just Katie which makes her different from all the othe's. Growing up we would alway call her "Katie lady" which was just a cute play on her name.
I love my name. The only thing that really irks me, is that most people I'meet spell it wrong. They spell it Kaytie, instead of Katie. That's the only thing people get wrong with it though...
Our daughter's name. Beautiful! Classic, energetic, spunky. The name means "lively."
I think you all are sooooooooo hot. I would love to make out with you. Her's my number 555-0217. Call me!
when people ask me my baby boys name and i say Xzavier'something just lights up in their eyes and it leaves a mark wherever we go my babys name is exactly who he is strong, masculine, romantic, and unique I wouldnt change it for the world.I love you Xzavier Maurice
My name is Katie, and my accent makes people think im saying Kelly sometimes. But i love it- its a cool name. I get called Kate quite a lot too and i know quite a few people with my name
Wow, your post makes mine look felbee. More power to you!
It's my name, a nickname, but i've never answered to anything else... It's just there.
well my name is Kayla and i love it! it is very easy to spell and pronounce... which makes things alot easier for me! i hear of alot of girls with my name every where i go.. so i know its popular!
I like having this name because everybody always asks: "Are you a Katherine or a Kaitlin❤️" and I always say: "I'm an orignal Katie!" I love the history behind my name!
my sisters name is katie, her real name is katherine but we called her katie. she also uses KT as a lil play on her name. i love it! its so cute cuz we are katie and maggie. both ie's and our father is charlie another ie.
I love the name Katie well my name isnt Katie but my cousins name is Katie and I love her to death...
Katie is such a common name; I know 6 off the top of my head! What's hard is that 2 of them are some of my really good friends, and when I say "Katie!" both of them look up! It's so funny...
My name Katie not Katherine, Kathleen or Katlyn! I have actually had people argue with me before that it can't be just Katie. Since there are so many Katies out there this at least makes me original since It's not a nickname. My mother was going to name me Kathleen but didn't like the name Kathy so to avoid me ever being called that'she just went with Katie. She figured I could go by Kate when I go older but I prefer Katie, It's who I am. In fact I hate it when people we don't know me refer to me as Kate or spell my name that way, It's Katie not Kate. I do sometimes sign KT on emails and things though.
While Nate is not on this the closest. It's close to bad and meh but Nate is good
My name is Kathryn and i've been called Katie forever. Love it.
This name is too popular now. Find something more inter'sting to name your baby. And no, don't choose "Sophia" or "Olivia" instead--too trendy.
my name is Catie and most people spell it like Katie. and i never met some one with C for Catie
This is my name and I love it. People always look and want to call me Angel at first or Angie. Name is popular and commonly known that finding things with my name is easy. The big downfall is when I was in school, there was a blue million Angelas.
katie is a hot name It's good to find a girl to have sex with named katie
My name is Katy. Or Kathryn i dont mind this name im 21 and have met about 3 other katy, katies in my life only one spelt it katy. I like this name because my its obviously special to me . its not unique but its elegant and classy
I love my name Katie even'though my real name is Kathryn. Katie is beautiful and pure! It is just me! Katie t!
i love my name, i think 'katie' has a beautiful sound. it can be a classic, elegant name, but it also fits any sort of attitude you feel like displaying. the one thing that gets me is when people spell it Katy, or worse, Catie or Caty!
I love my name it is who i am and i would not change it!!! My cosin use to spell it KD and my name is katie not katy!
katie is my name, but i wish it were spelled "kati" just for a change. katie is too common of a name and its really getting old.
My name is also Katie, and I like my name too :) I was named it after modernizing my late grandmothe's name, Kathleen. Sometimes I'm asked if it comes from Katherine. Un, no, Kathleen :)
i thought it was more popular!! I know katie b. katie h. katie s. katie r. katie ❤️ and katie l. this name is way over'sed, and I wouldn't reccomend it
My mom named me Katrina to call me Katie. I never understood that. Katrina doesn't suit me at all. I love the name Katie, I have it tattooed on me. Katie should NEVER be spelled any differently. It'simply doesn't look right.
My name is Katie. Just Katie, not Katherine or anything. I like my name, but there are a lot of us!
totally love the name and that is my daughters name
i like my name.. although i sometimes wish i had a less ordinary name It's still cute. i don't think i have ever had anyone mis-pronounce it. I spell mine 'Katie' and if people ever'spell it wrong they spell it Katy but most of the time they ask before they spell it or assume its 'IE' i've met quite a few people with my name
My name is Katie, and I have been criticized by a person telling me it is a nickname and that I should change it to Katherine to be more professional. Personally I love the name and wouldn't change it for the world! My whole life I have only been called Katie, although when I get older, I probably will start going by Kate. Great name!
My sister's name is Katie and I have a friend named Katie and I know two other Katies. I think the name Katie is a wonderful name even if it is ordinary.
My birth name is Katie. Most people think It's short for Katherine or Kaitlyn, but my real name is Katie! I haven't met too many individuals who are actually named Katie.
I am also another just Katie. I don't care for the name because there are soooo many! I graduated with 19 Katie's. Really - I'd like to be a little more unique than that!! Think twice before naming your child Katie.
My sister's name is Katie and is not short for anything. My mom picked it because it went with the flow of the names in our family...Katherine, Kelly, and Katie. Cute alliteration, right❤️ :)
I love the name but because of my speech some people think I'm saying Kathy or Cat but I still Love it
My best friend's name is katie and there is only one other katie in my grade but her name is spelled katy
My name is not Katie, but that is my nick name. I love the name Katie!
Just Katie is what my mom would tell people who asked if I was a Katherine growing up. ❤️Just Katie❤️ sounds awful. But my mom would assert she named me Katie instead of Katherine because she didn't want people calling me Kathy (thank you mom!). Katie is an overly used white girl name (there were 3 Katie❤️s in my I'mediate group of friends in high school- not to mention the other 8 in my class of 300 students). I compare the name to Jennifer, Lauren, Kristin/Christina, Jessica and Amanda- boring and lacking originality. In my early 20❤️s, I attempted to go by Kate but was strongly rejected by friends and family because I'm ❤️not a Kate❤️.
katie is a wicked name but i still hate it wen people call me cat or catty
My name is katie and its GREAT! i luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuvvvvvvvvvv It'soooooooooooo muuuuuuccccccccchhhh
I like it alright as a nickname (my real name is Katherine), but I hate it when people try to be 'cute' and spell it KT.
My name is Katie and I love it, except that there were 7 other Katies in my graduating class! I am a Kathryn though, which I think makes it better!
Lots of young Katies about, but it does go back a bit or more. Yet It's not what one call an old lady name, unlike Ethel, Beulah, Hortense, Bertha, and Eunice, which ARE old ladies' names. Also, one wouldn't necessarily think it a middle-aged woman name either, as opposed to Linda, Barbara, Susan, Deborah, Sharon, and Kathleen which ARE names associated with the baby-boomer era. Yet Katies in their teens or 20s today are most likely to hail from middle-class families, while It's usually the 1982s names of Michelle or Lisa or Kimberly or Kelly or Nicole which are associated with the working classes.
