My daughters name is Alize' and she's 7 now. Some people mispronounce it at the end. They say "Al-eeze" instead of "Ali-zay". I beli've its a beautiful name although it is a type of liquor. My father'said that it means "Charmer or Charmed One". I call her "ZeZe" for short. The name matches her perfectly!

This is my name, but spelled AnJeanette (My mom like the names Angela and Jeanette and put them together). As a kid I went by Anjie, because I hated how people butchered the pronunciation of my name. As I got older I got used to people having difficulty figuring out how to say it, and I find it humorous to hear their attempts. I get everything from "On-Juh-Nay" to "Ann-Gee-Uh-Netty". My daughter is also Alize'. She is 9 & loves her name. I think only those who don't think outside the box associate it with the liquor. I was scared that people would assume I named her this because of the drink.
