I am a Lela b 1986 and although people regularly pronounce differently than what I was raised to beli've is MY name... I like how Unique it is... I pronounce it Leela and as far as the meanings... I have seen It'said to be dark beauty, dark as night or born @ night... and I was born just b4 midnight and had a full head of dark hair and have dark complexion... so It'suits ME too! :-)
I was born in 2019 so the chart is wrong but i love my name even'though I'm younger I'm bubbley and fun ❤️
People often pronounce it wrong, but I always get positive comments. It means dark beauty and sounds pretty.
I was born 1999 and my name is Lela, pronounced Leela, not Leyla or Lila. And although in some middle eastern cultures it has a meaning of dark nights I am anything but. I have ashy brown hair, brown eyes, and extremely fair skin. I was named after an old family friend. Which makes sense since my name was hugely popular in the 1920's. I love my name'so much that if it weren't creepy I would definitely name my daughter Lela.
People always say my name, like Lyla or something. But It's said the way It's spelled. L-E-L-A, Lela. But yeah, I love my name. And It's not that common so that's one of the major reasons I love it ^_^
My Name is Lela and i was born in 2001 so your chart is wrong
My name I Leela. i've got picked on for it when I was a kid but I love my name. From every thing i've looked up it means: dark as night, born at night, and mysterious. I was born earlie morning, fair skin, blond hair, light green eyes, bubbley and always friendly... So... Not really the'same. But the name Leela sounds happy. I love it!
My name is Lela and people always pronounce my name as Layla instead of Leela. It gets kind of annoying when i have to correct them all the time, but i love my name because that was my great-grandmas name.
