Its My Name, Sometimes I Hate It When People Tease Me But Most Of The Time Its Pleasent Enough To Have!
I get mad when people spell my name wrong. Im a Rachael not a Rachel and my best friend I knew since kindergarten could'nt spell it right until about fifth grade. And now, we're in seventh and there's a really mean girl in my school who's name is Rachel and lots of people spell it that way. My teache's spelled it wrong and it was wrong in the yearbook, and for sum reason everyone mixes up the E and the A like Racheal if I tell them ther's an xtra A. But I luv my name. The prettier of the two sisters who won the boy, as it was in the Bible!
Love my name, and love the unique spelling. I have heard that Rachael is the non-Jewish way of spelling it. Also, that it is the'southern way. I don't like the idea that it is a misspelling -- It's not Jacquiee for goodness sake -- but I say it is a variation like Ann/Anne or Sara/Sarah.
My name is rachael but allot of people in australia spell it Rachel but i like the a in front of the e because it looks nicer
my name is rachael and i do not have the problems that most of the other people on here have talked about. i do have a hard time finding personalized items, but i dont really mind when people spell it wrong. its not as common, so you cant really blame them for it. i dont have a lot of problems with people pronouncing it wrong either. except in middle school, my teacher assumed it was pronounced like michael, and he'said it Rake-uL. and sometimes my friends call my Ray-chay-uL, as a joke to distinguish me from our other friend, rachel. also, i was able to write a college admissions essay about my name and how it had taught me that its okay to be different, and that i am not my name, but the person behind it. i got into everywhere i applied because of my essay, and my name.
My experience of the my name is the most fantastic i have ever felt. I love my name, I'm so unique as no other people on this page are called Rachael and Rachael has NOT been one of the 1,000 most popular names in the United States every decade since 1880.
My name is spelt racheal i know it a weird way of spelling it but i like it coz its unique
I love my name. People do tend to spell it wrong but once they know It's a hard name to forget.
I just named my daughter Rachael and like many people here, we just thought it was a cool way to spell it and It's a nice name altogether.
hey, my name is rachael (the proper'spelling) i love my name! hehe i think it makes me sound young... cause i dont no many old people called rachael
Well... It's okay, i don't think i would name my child that.
My name is Rachael, and people usually spell it wrong, but I think it is a timeless name that will carry me through my whole life. It will still sound good when I'm 80!
My name is Rachael. I am pretty sure that i have seen more people spell my name wrong than they do the right way. My name Isn't that hard to spell. in my yearbooks they always right " Dear, Racheal" or they will write " Dear Rachel." Rachael, spelled "a" before they "e" sounds more complete. I would never change the'spelling of my name, but i wish people could spell a seven letter name correctly for once. - Rachael
i love my name Rachael! thats right the extra "A". people usually know that my name is spelled differently, but dont know how to spell it. my mom named me rachael because of rachael in the bible, the prettier of the two sisters! and she liked the'sound of it. i think rachael is a pretty name and It'sounds strong. i dont know anyone who spells their name like mine, but i do know 2 other rache's. i think all rachael are just as pretty as i am. for all you rachaels out there..YOU ROCK!
Rachael is apparently the Biblical spelling, so I'm told. And it means, "Ewe in the meadow," and sheep are my favorite animal, so I'm okay with it. But there are...five other Rachel's in my school which Isn't that pleasant. A lot of people misspell it too. It has its pros and cons I guess.
hI'miii name is racheal not rachel or rachael but RachEAl
MY NAME IS RACHAEL I AM A BANNANA!! MY SPOON IS TO BIG!!
My name is RACHAEL, and I love It'spelled with the extra A. Of course it is almost always spelled wrong but I don't mind because it is a Bible name. With the extra A, it makes my name'still feel biblical, but with a personal touch for me! I love my name!"
to the OCtober 10th post: why would you name her Gabriela if you aren't going to call her that❤️ It is such a pretty name! If you are going to call her "Gaby" (rhymes with "flabby"), just name her that!
My best friend's name is Rachael, and a mutual friend we've known for years has JUST figured out how to remember that It's A before E. Rachael and I both have names that people like to mispell all the time, so It's a cool connection, though it is irksome. However, I LOVE the'spelling. I'm more into uniqueness than traditionalI'm - when it comes to names - and I think It's a perfect way to set her apart from all the other Rache's at school.
I really like this name! My name is Rachael. It bugs me when people spell my name Rachel, Because that Isn't me. I'm Rachael, not Rachel! A lot of famous people named Rachael spell it like I do! Like Rachael Ray, Rachael Harris, and Rachael Leigh Cook. So yea, its a really great name.
I love my name because It's unique and feels like all mine! Rachael is almost always spelled wrong by othe's, but nobody pronounces it wrong. I was named after the Rachel in the Bible, but my parents give it a twist to make it more personal to me. I love my name!
Rachael is my name and I love it, but no one can ever'seem to spell it right. Of course i've gotten Rachel, but i've also gotten Raachel, Raychel, and Racheal. Even friends i've known for years and some family members can't seem to spell my name right. But I'd never change my name for anything.
My name is Rachael and i throughly beli've this is the correct way to spell it. i have researched it and found that the correct spelling of "rachael" is rachael. this is because of a bible figure named rachael with correct termnination that is the proper and correct way to spell rachael.
my name is rachael, people ALWAYS spell my name wrong, its usually racheal, or rachel of course. it really makes me mad, but im trying to get used to it, although there are many rache's, they way mine is spelled still makes it unique, even'though looking at these comments shows there are alot of "rachaels" aahhaahah , XD
My name is also spelt "Racahel" although my whole life teache's and other people have been spelling it wrong.. like "Rachel" or even "Racheal" this sometimes frustrates me very much!! It's only my best and closest friends that can spell it right. When i was born, there was a HUGE debate between my parents as my dad wanted me to be named rachael and my mum wanted Sarah. As you know.. it turned out to be Rachael and i am very happy about that!
My middle name is Rachael but It's the name I prefer to go by. But my family doesn't pronounce it like Rachel. It's pronounced like Rachelle/Rashelle like the French would say it. I don't have a problem with people spelling it but I have problems with people calling me Rachel and Michelle.
My Name Is Rachael, And I Love It. People Always Spell It Wrong And Their Is 4 Other Rachael's In My Grade But They All Spell Their Name RACHEL, And I Really Don't Like It'spelled Like That. I Really Makes Me Mad People Don't Spell It Right. And i Never'see Stuff You Can Buy That Says Rachael , its Always RACHEL, but i just went on a school trip to washington dc and at the amusment park they had a bunch of stuff spelled RACHAEL, and they didn't even have the other way! i was so Happy!
My name is also Rachael and I LOVE the way I spell my name. To me it looks a lot more prettier than just Rachel. It makes me feel different(not a bad different but good). Even'though I get It'spelled wrong ALL the time I don't mind. I love the fact that my name is so uncommon. And i love the feeling you get when you find out that'someone else has the'same name. I love my name!!!
I'm a Rachael too and really like the'spelling. And people seem to know that my name is spelled a bit differently but they tend to forget just how It's spelled. As a result, i've received some inter'sting versions: Raechel, Racheal, Rachal, and of course, Rachel. It used to bother me but not so much anymore and I see "Rachael" more and more - rock on!
I spell my name Rachel. i've met a lot of people who have my name, most of them spell it the way I do. My parents wanted to make sure they didn't spell my name wrong so they spelt it this way.
My name is Rachael,And peopel rarely spell my name right. It's either Racheal or Rachel. The right way to say it is RayChul.Once,It was spelled Ratchel! It didn't make me happy. But I try to get used to people spelling my name wrong and you know,Get over it.It's REALLY hard to find accesories with "Rachael" On it.Its alway Rachel!I even have a friend named Rachael.Spelled the'same way I do.
my name is spelled this way, and everyone spells it wrong. its sort of something I'm used to and i dont care that much. i haven't met anyone who spells it this way, although i have seen in stores pens/necklaces with names on it, and have seen my name with this spelling! its always amazing to see lol
Well actually i thought the name was soooo cute. We were about to name him jordan, but i liked the name jaiden and since his last name is johnson, i started callin him JJ and now so does everyone who knows him, and my family. The names suits him so good
My middle name is Rachael ... when anyone asks what my middle name is I tell the "Rachael ... with an extra a" and then spell it ... don't like Rachel but LOVE Rachael!
This is my name and I like it, in the UK where I come from it wasn't that commonly used and it was quite nice to have a name which was different from most othe's
I have this obsession with always making sure everyone spells my name right. I love my name, I was named after Rachel in the bible, but my mom put the extra a in. I like having a name that is different, but still beautiful.
I know a Rachael and she's got an amazing personality. Plus, I agree with how the "a" in it makes the name much better. Rachel is boring - Rachael is awesome.
My name is Rachael, and i really like the name, but i don't like the way It's spelled. I think Rachel is best, because that's how It's spelled in the Bible. I know It's more unique and everything, but i just like the more common RACHEL better, because everybody always spells my name wrong, but I never correct anybody because that is how I wish my name was spelled.
it is a good grown up name but does not sound right for a little 4 yr old.
Stupid spelling. 4000 years ago peopul wur illiturit. I love the way one girl was complaining about having her name misspelled and went on to describe how it was an "orrigianl" (you mean ORIGINAL❤️ What could be easier to spell than ORRR IIII JJJJIIIINNN ALLL - or-i-gin-al. duh). FLuck the bibul. Spell it the way people can remember to spell it. R-A-C-H-E-L.
I love the name, but i've always spelled it Rachel.
My name is Rachael, spelt this way & I think it balances out better when its spelt this way. I do from time to time have to correct people, but I wouldn't change my name.
I LOVE IT! my name is Rachael...and I think it is a classic and awesome name! I had even considered naming my daughter after me. I think "Rachael" is so much better than "Rachel"...although many times people have spelled my name Rachel..:( Blah
My name is Rachael and I love the fact that it has the extra 'a'. There are so many Rache's but not quite as many RachAels. I like having a common name that's spelled just a little differently.
My name is Rachael and although there is a conflict between its original spelling, I think Rachael is best.. It'seems more feminine and with the arquement between'the 2 rachaels-rache's even it written looks better.. I love my name I used 2 wonder why it was spelled different than some of my Rachel friends but then I just realized I'm much cooler than them anyways the name just gives me the edge..lol..
My name is Rachel!! I think spelling it like that is wayy prettier. But any rachel no matter how you spell is is a pretty name!! So people please don't trash all the Rache's!!! Thanks.
I'm Rachael, it irritates me how everyone spells it wrong. my parents tell me its spelt like this because that is the way it was spelt in the original bible but changed to Rachel in the 1800's. they thought it was a orrigianl name i guess lots of people did that year because my whole life in every class ive had ive never been'the only Rachael or Rachel
Rachael is my daughter's name. We spelled it this way because her Dad's name is Michael, and if you look up Rachael in some baby books, It'says it is the female version of Michael. I liked that; and that is a common name with an uncommon spelling. It does get frustrating when her name is always spelled wrong, especially on awards or articles, but she deals with it- rule of thumb is to have them change it if It'something we will keep or will continue to be printed. Otherwise It'stays misspelled.
Why do so many people outside scotland think this is a girls name Mac and Mc both mean Son of to use on a girl is awful and ignorant. Its a very masculine, and wont age well
rachael is supposed to be RACHEL but i guess it is unique. i like the comment: I was named after the Rachel in the Bible, but my parents give it a twist to make it more personal to me. I love my name!"
I love my name, which is spelled Rachael, but my parents made it even more classic by pairing it up with Elisabeth, which is also the corest spelling!:)
Rachael is the prettier version of Rachel! Rachel always looks wrong to me, like It's not complete. It'seems colder.
i luv it it is my name and even'tho my m8s might spell it wrong some times its because the other rachel is so common this just shows that the women/girls with 2 As are more special and rare :p
My name is Rachael and I don't like it at all. It's to popular -two other Rache's in my class. I wish my name was more original. Because the'spelling is different it never gets spelled right.
People also don't pronounce my name correctly and I get the "Rockell" which makes no since to me. I also have gotten "Ray-cha-ell". Who would name their kid that❤️ I don't like the name, I don't like how it flows off the tongue and I hate when people call me Rachie the most.
My name is RachAel I love the'spelling because its so unique. I have tons of friends whose names are rachel. But ael is best. Except tons of people spell it wrong. My third grade teacher never'spelled it right.
Love the name Rachael. Especially with the extra 'a'. Just like the ending of Michael. Besides there ARE more Rachael's out there with TWO' a's. Thanks to the cook Rachael Ray and singer Rachael Lampa. I sometimes think it would be cool to have a twin boy and girl named Michael and Rachael! :)
as for the biblical/non-biblical question: actually...in the original hebrew there were no vowels in print... BUT, the pattern is that vowels and consonants alternate, so the hebrew spelling with 3 letters in the bible (r-ch-l) would really be 'rachel', and if it were to be 'rachael', there would have to be a yod in there...like in 'israel' (i.e. r-ch-y-l). that'said, I'm a rachAel, and i am happy to be one...people compliment me all the time, and now rachael ray is making us famous!
I intend to use this name for my future daughter. I feel like Rachel is basic and low class. Rachael is elegant and meaningful.
If the'spelling RACHAEL is sooo unique why are your names all spelt like this!! Mine is spelt Rachel and that is the best way, with an extra a just looks wrong =P
I absolutly hate it when people spell my Rachel! It drives me nuts. Yearbooks, awards, and even birthday cards! One of my good friends is name Rachel, and we are Rachael squared. Also, it is hard to find coffee cups and those keychains with the'spelling Rachael.
Rachael is also my name... I am English but all the other English Rachael's I know spell it Rachel❤️❤️❤️
My name is rachael. I love the name very much. My mm named me this name when she was in Paris. I spell it with an ael. most people do not do that therefor it makes my name very special. I love my name and I never want to change it. hope people with my name enjoy it as much I do
I spell Rachael this way, and it is awesome and different and looks cooler.
The name Rachel is common, but It'seems to me that all rache's have a uniqueness about them and also a certain grace. so while their name might not be different rache's always stand out in personality.
My name is Rachael. People always spell it the WRONG way. I love how my parent chose to spell it the CORRECT way, it makes it more unique than the way othe's spell it.
I'm a Rachael, and people always spell it wrong. I think that is such an insult when people just presume your name is spelt one way and It's spelt another. Rachel is the bible way, but my parents didn't want to copy off the bible. I have a friend who is a Rachal, and a friend who is a Rachelle, so it just goes to show Rachel Isn't the most popular way to spell it :o)
I love the name Rachael (with the extra a), because it looks prettier than Rachel.
yes I know a girl named Kadijah It's spelled KADIJAH
my name is rachael, and everyone spells it rachEAL, who the hell spells it like tht❤️ and also my old friend also called rachel without the A used to argue sayion my name was craply spelt and my name was english or american....even'tho her name is the one tht came from france
Rachael❤️ Seriously❤️ How about Hansael and Gretael❤️ And to the girl who thinks that's the original biblical spelling... Nope. The original and only correct spelling is Rachel, as it is spelled in the Bible.
this is my name and i love it!! but It's annoying when people spell it wrong. -- which is all the time.
My sisters name, I think the'spelling is more special!
my name is Rachael and i used to think my name was bad cause it was not spelled like everyone elses but, now i know it is unique
i don't no the mean of racheal.pls can someone exmple the mean for me.
I'm a 'Rachael' and CANT'T STAND when people spell it Rachel. Also at school was called a variety of names including Raquel and Rachelle. Being different is good though! x
My name is Rachael, i was told it was the english way to spell it but i love my name and noone ever'spells it right not even my uncle
my name is rachel and i love it i could care less how it is spelled they are pronounced the'same i love the name :)
My name is Rachael and my husband and I both simply adore it. It's a much better way of spelling 'Rachel', in my opinion. I see it a lot nowadays but I didn't start seeing it until I was engaged to my ex-husband! But now I'm raising four beautiful kids - two girls, two boys - and I love them all (including the husband, being the kid he is) so very much. My husband is Ruth WillI'm and I am Rachael Queen. My kids are Serena Fern, Crystal Noel, Robert Kyle, and Philip Andrew. It all flows with our last name!
it looks so werid with the 2 a's in, i think its stupid spelled that way and it much more prettier to spell it Rachel. and anyway how do you say it because it not spelt how you say it no wonder every body says it wrong1
I love the name Rachel because it is from the bible and i spell it different then other people because it is spelled Rachel!
It is unique. There are more people with "Rachel" than "Rachael." Plus Rachael/Rachel became popular, so obviously people came up with different spellings that also ended up popular.
I like my name a lot but I hate it when people spell it wrong! I wish it meant something more fierce than a female sheep, though.
My name is Rachel. Don't like It'spelled with the extra a because it is longer. But that's just my opinion.
Rachael is a nice name to have. But it dives me crazy having people spell it wrong all the time, and all the misspronouncements. I get called Ra -SHELL, Ra- QUELLE, and many other names. But my name is unique, and I love it.
Rachael is an awesome name! and i dont know one horrible rachael! They're all very special! x
My name is spelled Rachael but after going through the past year in a half of high school there are so many rachaels or rachel. My teache's friends have all been speeling my name Raychl to be different from everyone else
It is spelt Rachael! Not Rachel, Rachel Graham! Get it right!
My name is Rachael. Alot of people spell it Rachel but then again alot of people get it right as well. I think that the'spelling of my name is correct because of the'similarity to the'spelling of Michael (my brothe's name).
WELL' MY NAME IS RAFAELA AND I SHURE LOVE MY NAME IM AND ORIGINALLY FROM MEXICO AND WHEN I CAME TO LIVE IN THE U.S.A PEOLPLE WOULD PRONOUNCE IT LIKE (RA-FEE-ELLA AND EVer'sINCE THE IVE BEEN STUCK WITH RAFEELLA LOL! I love the name Rachael wen i first met my best friend who spells her name that way i hated it but i love it now and i really dont like It'spelled rachel
people often spell it 'rachel'. i have been called raquel once. i actually know quite a handful of people with the'same name and the'same spelling as well!
My name's Rachael and I like that'spelling, it only turned out Rachael because of a mix up by the midwife when I was born...my parents eventually settled on it.
I too am a Rachael. And no, people don't spell it right, and many think it is pronounces Rockell. I don't really like my name, it reminds me of little house on the prairie.
Well I was born with the name Hadley. Even i was born in Germany. Lovely to have a name not everybody has over here. Everybody always asking is that English but always pronouncing it wrong like headley. Like to correct them. So its an Girls name❤️ In my case its me surname. but I kno me cousin is called hadley. So Hadley Hadley. Well Im not his parents. Nice to found that page. Thx and please parden'the mistakes like I said Im from Germany. Greetz Seb.Hadley
Everyone misspells my name, I have not met to manyothe's with my name. It is usually some kid in the'store who's mom is looking for them. I did once meet a lady in her 70s named Rachael, she was happy to see the name carried on. It is a beautiful name.
Rachael is my name. I love the'spelling, it looks more complete to me, more feminine really. My name does get spelled wrong though (frequently), I have never really minded.
my names Rachael and its really ANNOYING when people spell it without the A like Rachel But i think with the A Rachaels a different name I'm only 12 and i think its better with the A my mam likes adding letters into her kids names like my sisters name Aishing[with a H its ussaly spelt Aisling]And I'm glad my mam adds letters cause otherwize i wouldn't be RACHAEL KEANE
My name is Rachael. It annoys me when people spell it wrong, but most people I know have gotten used to it. People that attempted spelling my name have come up with Rachel, Raechel, Reachel, Rachale, Rechal, and oh so many othe's. Hahaha. Anyway, I think It's prettier with the extra A. It's sorta unique. (:
my name is rachael spelt like that and i can never find mugs or anything with my name'spelt right on it :(
i have trouble reading so i dont know which wey my name is spelt.
My name is Rachel (yeah, I know It's supposed to be "Rachael"). Even'though It'seems like most people spell their name without that extra "a," people are always misspelling my name and putting an extra "a" in. It must be getting more popular to have an extra "a."
My name is RACHEL and I like the classic speling and this new one! Anyone named Rachel (or Rachael)lol, Represent!
It's ok, It's also my cousin's name. Everyone wrIt's it Rachel though, and she hates it.
My Name Is Rachael,People Always Spell It Rachel or Racheal! It Is Quite Annoying . If I Could Choose To Change The'spelling Of My Name I Would Say No , Because I Like It , It's A Bit Different Than The Rest x
I love my name because It's unique and feels like all mine! Rachael is almost always spelled wrong by othe's. I was named after the Rachel in the Bible, but my parents give it a twist and spelled it the'same way my uncle spells Michael. I love my name!"
I love my name Rachael. It'sounds complete when you think about it. It doesn't matter if people spell it wrong because i still love my name. I just wonder'sometimes if Rachael spelled with the "a" before the "e" is prettier. To me i think it is. In 2004 a movie came out called THE BODYGUARD starring Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston. I was named after Whitney Houston's character Rachel. My Mom changed the'spelling though to make it more unique. R-A-C-H-A-E-L flows better when you spell it. Try it!
My name is Rachael, and, I admit, it is annoying when people spell it wrong, but I think it adds a bit of classic sophistication to the name. It's very English, as well, which I like.
I used to spell it that way but i thought it was a bit baby'sh so i changed it, lovely spelling though
I do this thing when whenever i see an acessary with my name on it i buy it because i rarely find stuff with the'spelling "Rachael"
