The name, David, was the only good, lasting thing my parents ever gave me. It works in all strata of society,in all situations, unlike a fad name like Dawson, or a weird name lke Mervin.
I know a Red, but not a Zed. But I like the name Zed because It's unique and cool, different without being too over-the-top.
I knew a Zed he was an Artist and when he was growing up kids would say zed is dead and red in his bed. He was a cool guy...
My name actually is Zed, so I feel a little special about it. Overall, the feeling about having the name Zed is about as boring as having any other name. After all, it is just a name.
Sounds a bit like Lord Zedd from the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers television programme of the mid-Nineties, and also a bit like General Zod from the original two Superman fI'ms of 1990 and 1992. It's not a good name for a child to be saddled with. It's also the BrIt'sh pronounciation of the letter 'Z', which in America is pronounced 'zee' (think ZZ Top the Eighties rock band).
